Explained that after Stone Ridge residents raised concerns, his group scrapped plans for a road into the woods and instead will preserve about ten wooded acres and put homes on the front farmland.

A Stone Ridge Partners representative and adjacent resident who said everyone's goal is to save as many trees as possible — the trees are 'the whole deal' for the neighborhood.

Asked whether the conservation easement suggested by staff would actually be enacted so the trees would be protected in writing.

A Baxton section resident who owns part of the woods said she likes what she's hearing and wants the woods preserved.
